'Eindruck' is an experimental design, that is based on an intensive study of the sense of touch. It creates an experience of the special characteristics of this sense by providing a multi sensual feedback. Inspiring examples are the first steps onto a fresh blanket of snow. Leather cushions with a special filling react to physical contact with an acoustic, visual and haptic feedback, which draws the attention to the process of walking, thus generates consciousness.
The surface yields under pressure, crunches and the user leaves footprints on it. The soft filling mellows the body weight and challenges the foot muscles and the sense of balance. The traces of footprints communicate the moving directions and the time lapses in the room. Thereby the carpet draws the attention to the sense of touch.
